California Dreaming in Munich | LAX Eatery

LAX Eatery is a restaurant located in Munich (Maxvorstadt).

No matter how gray and cloudy the day in Munich starts: LAX Eatery guests dine like on the sunny US-West coast.

If you think about an American breakfast, you'll probably see a classic American diner in front of you somewhere in California. Suddenly you start dreaming about Fried eggs, bacon, hash browns and of course: PANCAKES.

You can actually get the pancakes at LAX Eatery. Blueberry pancakes! We tried them and we immediately fell in love. We also ordered two different Açai Bowls, since there are not so many localities in Zurich who offer tasty Açai Bowls, we had to use the opportunity in Munich.

The Açai Bowl is basically a smoothie which you can eat with a spoon, the base is a puree of Açai berries, the most healthy fruits of South America. The food trend comes from Brazil, where the Açai berries are an integral part of the nutrition.

Smoothies are not missing on the card and the LAX Eatery also offers many coffee varieties. For example: "Skinny Vanilla Latte" or "Coconut Latte" just like in America.

We were lucky when we spontaneously visited the LAX Eatery. We catched the last table for two. First come, first serve, reserving a table is not possible. So if you like to snatch a table make sure to be there early (opens at 09:30 Saturday + Sunday + Holidays).

Fluffy Blueberry Pancakes: EUR 9.90

Açaí Bowl (Bio- Açaí, Granola, Banana, Seasonal Fruits and Cocos): EUR 8.90

Green Glow Bowl (Mango, Spinach, Banana, Granola, Cocos and Seasonal Fruits): EUR 8.90

The prices are slightly above the average in Munich but they use good ingredients and the plates are presented in a beautiful way.
