Royal brunch with a view | Storchen Zürich

The Storchen Zurich has been welcoming guests from all over the world since the fourteenth century. Today, modern hotel culture and centuries-long tradition of hospitality are combined in this beautiful first-class house in the heart of Zurich's old town. At the beginning of this year, the Storchen Zurich was generously redesigned and modernized. After the reopening of the «most beautiful living room of the city», as it is called in Zurich, the fifth star now adorns this historic house.
We felt very honored when the Storchen Zurich invited us to the test their well-known Sunday brunch at the so-called La Rôtisserie. This elegant restaurant and haunt of the Zunft zur Schiffleuten offers one of the most beautiful views of the Grossmünster and the Limmat. The huge windows flood the restaurant with a bright light and create a warm ambience. La Rôtisserie is not just eye-catching but also spoils all foodlovies. The brunch buffet leaves nothing to be desired. In addition to the traditional breakfast dishes, the buffet includes a rich selection of antipasti, fish platters, charcuterie and cheeses from the region as well as from near abroad. If you like hot dishes, you can choose from seasonal delicacies directly from the kitchen. All this is rounded off by a dessert buffet at the end, which is just magnificent. Coffee and tea, various fresh juices and prosecco à discretion will quench your thirst. Here you will definitely find something for every taste and for all different kinds of cravings. If that is still not enough, you can choose additional dishes as listed on the menu, which will be charged separately.
We really enjoyed this special brunch with extremely delectable dishes from chef Cyrille Anizan and his team and can truly recommend this culinary treat to all foodlovies. Many thanks to the service, which was very attentive and accommodating, definitely on five-star level. Last but not least a big thank you to the vice director Mr. Pedroncelli, which took time to show us the new hotel and its story behind.
