Ribs on Monday | James Joyce
James Joyce, the famous Irish writer, once said that Zurich's Bahnhofstrasse is so clean that you could spoon up a minestrone directly from the ground - he was probably right but sometimes a little dirt can't hurt.
The "James Joyce" is an elegant restaurant just a few steps away from Zurich's Bahnhofstrasse. The classic interior comes from the former "Jury's Antique Bar" in Dublin. James Joyce, who spent several years of his life in Zurich, mentioned the Dublin Bar in his famous work Ulysses.
The historical Irish restaurant “James Joyce” is a well-known meeting place for good after-work drinks and tasty high class pub dishes. Next to a large selection of up to 300 fine wines, 20 different types of beer, an excellent selection of over 40 whiskeys and a small fortune of gins, it also offers finger-licking food such as homemade burgers, beef tartare, Fish & Chips, Wienerschnitzel or Irish specialties like Irish stew.
If this is too decent and not enough for you, you can now get your fingers dirty by tucking into their juicy and delicious spare ribs they serve every Monday. The offer includes tasty spare ribs with whether spicy chilli, smoky whiskey BBQ or honey mustard dips and crispy wedges – all you can eat!
Should you still have some room in your belly after this feast, you can also order one of the sweet temptations on their regular menu. New York cheesecake and apple tarte tatin with vanilla ice cream are just two of them.
The James Joyce is not only a good choice to enjoy a tasty after work drink in an authentic Irish ambiance but also a hot spot for a boisterous Monday treat – please let it be Monday soon!
