A place to surprise, share and inspire | Daizy

Daisy Duck from Duckburg is the personified counterpart to Daizy from Binz. Joyful, colorful, unique. But Daizy from Binz is not a fictitious duck, but a true stroke of luck.

The Binz district, a former industrial area and now home to hundreds of offices of well-known companies, is by far not famous as a stronghold of culinary highlights. But crazy Daizy has made it and reanimates this place back to the land of plenty. Plenty of good food and mood.

On the ground floor of the Tic, Tric and Trac building, Daizy catches your attention from far with its large window fronts, lots of colors and an eccentric furnishing concept. The former owners of the nearby "G27" have created a modern place of urban generosity. High rooms and exposed concrete not only form a restaurant, but also offer space for a fancy bar, an event location, a decorative flower hall and an innovative catering service.

Not only the lively atmosphere surprises but also the food plays at eye level. While the restaurant offers a small lunch menu and a varied buffet at noon, the focus in the evening is on sharing plates. So come at least in twos or share it with your alter ego – single or multiple, Daizy is definitely a place to enjoy different delicacies.

The cuisine is a mix of various cultures, inspired by the Middle East and Far East, a dash of Italianità and a pinch of Helvetic. You will find vegetarian and vegan dishes as well as meat and fish. Also, great value is place on seasonal and fresh products, wherever possible from local organic suppliers.

We started with mini samosas with mint yoghurt dip and raw carrots, eggplant involtinis with dried tomatoes, rocket salad and vegan cream cheese as well as with beetroot falafel covered in sesame seeds with a ginger tofu dip.

These 3 dishes turned out to be perfect starters to nibble on and enjoy together with two of their special drinks from the bar.

We continued with buffalo mozzarella with oven peach, stewed tomatoes and thyme, melon salad with cucumber, baked ricotta, watercress and pine nuts, homemade ravioli with strawberry filling, green pepper and spinach leaves and a BBQ Ribeye with potatoes, edamame and herbs.

We were really excited about these creative taste combinations. The creamy buffalo mozzarella matched perfectly with the sweet oven peach and the tasty ravioli, which let strawberry filling clash on green pepper were sensational in taste and something different.

The Daizy is a colorful place with a cool atmosphere, friendly staff and a creative cuisine with a valuable message – but above all, it’s a place to surprise, share and inspire.
